Today marks the countdown to May 20, 2011. It is 120 days until my son, Scott Struna, marries his beloved, Carly Bowen. The wedding will take place at Crosby Landing, a beautiful bayside beach in Brewster, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. Each day or at least twice a week, I will post a picture of the sandy path that will, on that day, lead them to where their marriage ceremony takes place. As wind, weather and tides play games with this fragile sandscape, you should notice subtle changes to this special place. Enjoy! Hope to see you soon!

Tim's original watercolor, "After The Harvest, Before The Pie" was selected for the Ohio Watercolor Society's Annual Exhibit.

Even though we were gone for most of June, Tim was very productive before we left and then through the summer months creating beautiful paintings. This new Acrylic on Linen is 20 x 24 inches. "Marsh at Rock Harbor" gives you a glimpse of the beauty of Cape Cod. It is a favorite place of ours in Orleans. We walk there in the mornings or evenings with our beagle Mac.

Still waiting on notification from two agents that requested a full manuscript for Mooncussers.
It's very exciting but frustrating, it has been over 4 months since I sent the ms to them. Editing has become a permanent task in my daily routine on the computer.

I almost forgot that I had started a google blog. So here are some thoughts. The only thing I can say is, life has been very busy for me and 2010 came way too fast. I do feel that something big will happen this year and it will be good thing. I have finished my first novel. It is a work of fiction, using some historical facts, and it comprises over 90,000 words. My hope of having it published seems like a dream but maybe, just maybe it will happen. The usual techniques of enlisting seven readers for their opinions and comments has been done and many, many edits have been applied to my manuscript. The next story in this historical series involving Nancy Caldwell, a fictional middle aged amateur sleuth, has already begun.
So you may ask yourself what is the first story about?
Mooncussers intertwine present day Nancy Caldwell with the infamous 18th century pirate Sam Bellamy, legendary Maria Hallet and lost treasure. The mystery takes place on Cape Cod. It is a fun read and takes you from 1700 to present day.
